VACANCY: MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Location: Ekala, Ja-Ela
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and results-oriented professional with a proven track record to join our team as a Mechanical Engineer at our Cement Grinding Mill and Packing Plant in Ekala, Ja-Ela.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Cement Grinding Mill and Packing Plant during the assigned shift.
- Coordinate with the Assistant Mechanical Engineer, Assistant Electrical Engineer, Assistant Production Engineer, and Quality Assurance Executive to minimize plant downtime and facilitate preventive maintenance activities during the shift.
- Assist the Operation & Maintenance Manager, Electrical & Instrumentation Manager, Production Manager and Automation Manager in all aspects of maintenance and operational activities related to the Cement Grinding Mill and Packing Plant.
- Supervise, coordinate, and guide Mechanical Foremen, Plant Operators, Machine Operators, Maintenance Technicians, Loading and Unloading Supervisors, and contract employees to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with established safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment for all employees during the assigned shift.
- Prepare and maintain shift logbooks, production records, maintenance records, and other relevant operational documents.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1–2 years of experience, National Diploma in Technology (NDT) in Mechanical Engineering with 3–4 years of experience or similar qualifications and experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably in an industrial environment.
- Age below 35 years.
- Willingness to work on a shift basis.
- Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem solving skills will be an added advantage.
