About NORVI Controllers
NORVI Controllers is a Sri Lankan electronics design and manufacturing company that exports industrial IoT and automation hardware to Europe and North America. Our products are CE/EMC/RED certified and used in real industrial automation projects — remote monitoring, process control, SCADA and machine monitoring — by engineers and system integrators worldwide. We are a team of 40 and have been shipping internationally since 2014.
The Role
Our customers are engineers. When they write to us, they want to talk to an engineer — someone who understands what they are trying to build, can tell them which product fits, and can answer the technical questions that come before and after a purchase.
We are hiring an Electrical Engineer to be that person. You will handle inbound inquiries from international customers, recommend the right NORVI product, prepare quotations, and support customers through installation and commissioning. This is an engineering role with a customer-facing focus — not a cold-calling role. Inquiries come to us through our website, LinkedIn and distributors; your job is to respond fast, understand the requirement, and follow through until the customer has what they need.

What You Will Do
- Respond to inbound customer inquiries by email, website form and LinkedIn — understand the application, recommend the right product and configuration
- Prepare and send quotations using standard pricing; follow up on open quotes, evaluation units and trial orders until the order is placed
- Provide technical support to customers before and after purchase — wiring, power supply, digital/analog I/O, Modbus RTU/TCP, RS485, connectivity (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, GSM/LTE, LoRaWAN) and firmware setup
- Replicate customer issues on the bench, work with our engineering team to resolve them, and close the loop with the customer
- Keep the inquiry and quotation pipeline updated in our CRM with status and next actions
- Coordinate with the operations team on order confirmations, lead times and shipping updates to customers
- Build and maintain application notes, wiring examples and FAQs from the questions customers ask most
- Support distributor inquiries and, when required, trade fairs and customer video calls
What We Are Looking For
- Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control, or a related discipline
- Sound understanding of industrial electrical and control fundamentals — power supplies, relays, sensors, 4–20 mA / 0–10 V signals, PLC/RTU concepts, Modbus
- Excellent written English — nearly all customer communication is by email with engineers in Europe and North America
- Clear, patient communicator who can explain a technical point to a customer without talking down to them
- Organised and self-driven — you manage your own inquiry queue and do not need reminding to follow up
- 0–3 years of experience. Fresh graduates with strong fundamentals and good English are encouraged to apply; experience in technical support, applications engineering, pre-sales or field commissioning is an advantage
- Experience with industrial IoT, SCADA, or embedded hardware is an advantage, not a requirement — we will train you on our products
What We Offer
- Base salary: LKR 80,000–130,000/month based on experience and qualifications
- Commission on closed orders — your earnings grow with the pipeline you manage

Location
Our facility is in Midigama, Weligama, Southern Province. This is a full-time, on-site role. Candidates from the Galle–Matara corridor are preferred; candidates willing to relocate are welcome to apply.
