Job Profile:

  • Implement and monitor Health, Safety and Environmental standards across operational areas.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, Job Hazard Analysis, incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Conduct employee, contractor and visitor inductions, safety awareness programmes and HSE training.
  • Monitor unsafe conditions and acts, ensure corrective actions, and maintain safety records and reports.
  • Develop and implement OHSE policies, procedures, emergency response plans and site safety plans.
  • Coordinate fire drills, first aid, chemical handling, manual handling and other required safety training.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMETA, HIGG-FSLM and applicable HSE requirements.
  • Coordinate contractor HSE compliance and support internal, external and regulatory audits.
  • Manage workplace accidents, near-misses, occupational health hazards and safety concerns.
  • Coordinate hazardous waste management and ensure applicable environmental compliance.
  • Prepare HSE reports and provide recommendations to management for continuous improvement.

Person Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Health & Safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Professional certifications such as OSHA, NEBOSH and NIOSH will be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMETA, HIGG-FSLM and applicable HSE requirements.
  • Strong competency in Risk Assessment, JHA, Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Good knowledge of occupational health, emergency preparedness and workplace safety practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching and employee training skills.
