nA member of Nippon Paint Japan (one of the top ten paint companies in the world) is seeking well qualified candidates for the following position.
nEXECUTIVE - IMPORT
nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
n- n
- Coordinate and manage all import-related activities to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods. n
- Create and maintain good relationships with suppliers to facilitate smooth import operations. n
- Prepare, review, and maintain import documentation, and track and maintain records of import costs, and other related expenses. n
- Negotiate with shipping agents, and suppliers to obtain competitive rates and service agreements. n
- Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely delivery of imported goods while minimizing delays and associated costs. n
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and logistics partners regarding order status, shipment updates, and documentation requirements. n
- Monitor inventory replenishment requirements and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure continuous supply of imported materials and products. n
- Ensure all imported products meet required quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. n
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
n- n
- Degree or equivalent qualifications in Procurement Management/ Supply & Material Management from a recognized university/ Institute or professional body (ISMM). n
- Solid knowledge and understanding of import and procurement processes, policies, and systems. n
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an Import Executive or related position. n
- Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions. n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. n
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. n
- Previous work experience with SAP application would be a definite advantage. n
