Q/A Executive - Sample Development
Are you passionate about perfecting apparel designs and samples? Elegant Knitting International Pvt Ltd at Biyagama is an Australian owned leading apparel manufacturer with a strong global presence. Due to our rapid expansion, we're on the lookout for a dedicated Quality Assurance Executive to join our Sample Development Team!
Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee quality standards during the sample development process.
- Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of apparel samples.
- Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure high-quality prototypes.
- Identify and resolve quality issues to refine sample development procedures.
- Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality.
- Involvement in product development and sampling stage and take care of quality aspects of samples.
- Reviewing teckpacks and specifications to compare to produced goods.
- Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar position.
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in quality assurance, specifically development within the apparel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of sample production processes and garment construction.
- Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge in knitwear is an added advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Understanding of target market and consumer needs Documentation and reporting skills.
