PROCUREMENT INTERN
Browns HOTELS & RESORTS
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Procurement Intern. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, sourcing quality goods and services, and ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with Procurement Processes: This involves supporting the procurement team in sourcing goods and services, obtaining quotes, and issuing purchase orders.
- Supplier Communication: You might communicate with suppliers regarding quotations, delivery schedules, and other related inquiries.
- Data Entry and Analysis: Inputting data into procurement systems, maintaining accurate records, and possibly analyzing data to identify trends or opportunities for cost savings.
- Assist with inventory planning to ensure availability while minimizing excess stock.
- Assisting in Procurement Strategy: Participating in meetings or projects related to procurement strategy development.
REQUIREMENTS
- Postgraduate degree or an equivalent qualification related Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Ability to analyze data, compare prices, and evaluate suppliers.
- Proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools.
- Understanding of and commitment to ethical procurement practices, including fairness, transparency, and compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
