Production Executive [Shift Basis]

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Reporting to Assistant Manager Glove Knitting, this Executive position is responsible for smooth running of manufacturing activities of a shift in the Glove Knitting section. To drive business process successfully, the incumbent should give the leadership to teams in the Glove Knitting section. Also, he/she should assist in the capacity planning & production scheduling for the knitting, printing & other finishing operations. Also need to maintain OEE & productivity targets within the his/her shift. The incumbent should support and assist to maintain efficient utilization of plant capacity in Glove Knitting section, timely delivery of goods and maintaining quality standards of products manufactured.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

The incumbent is responsible for:

  • Efficient utilization of machines, materials and labour to deliver output as planned.
  • To make sure goods are delivered to the next department in the right quantity at the right time complying with quality standards.
  • Guide and assist team for efficient utilization of resources to make sure the cost of goods produced is within the budgeted numbers.
  • Train and develop employees to maintain the skill level of the workforce.
  • Giving inputs to Plant Manager for maintaining accurate records related to output, labour utilization and loss times and take corrective actions by analyzing those data.
  • Guide and assist teams to maintain EHS standards in the workplace and make sure all employees in the section comply with EHS standards.
  • Actively participate and contribute to lean initiatives and KAIZEN activities in the section.
  • Make sure all employees comply with company code of conduct and maintain discipline in the department
  • Develop a close relationship with employees and make sure all employees are treated fair and equitable manner
  • Actively get involved in grievance handling process and liaise with HR department to resolve employee grievances.
  • Maintain employee absenteeism and turnover within standards.
  • Prepare capacity plan & production schedule of the knitting, printing & other finishing operations. Tracking planned deliveries of the department, & follow up & ensure that the targets are fulfilled on time.
  • Responsible to maintain accurate inventory discipline with good 5S practices.
  • Training & developing employees according to the production requirement & opportunities.
  • Need to report 12-hour shift Basis (2 Days, 2 Nights, 20ff) or in General shift if required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualification, Knowledge and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science/Operations or any other related field
  • Must have a thorough knowledge in Textile technology and people management Exposure to lean six sigma principals
  • 3+ years of manufacturing & operations experience in executive category
