Fundraising & Campaign Specialist
Location: Colombo
Job Profile
- Lead and manage all fundraising initiatives and campaigns both local & international
- Develop and lead the fundraising and campaign strategy for WVL
- Contribute to the strategic-development plan to increase and diversify funding and resources
Major Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in the development of the Annual Business Plan (ABP) of the National Resource Development (NRD) unit
- Spearhead and execute the ABP for NRD by formulating and cascading quarterly targets
- Drive innovation in fundraising avenues and establish controls for monitoring progress
- Oversee market analysis on fundraising methodologies/strategies
- Develop and manage online donation portals to attract donor support
- Establish partnerships with media institutions for broadcast support
- Hire and manage staff for local fundraising activities
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
- 6 years of fundraising experience
- Master's or Degree in relevant field
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills
- Ability to launch and scale up fundraising activities
- Travel up to 20% of the time
- Proficiency in English and/or Sinhala and Tamil languages
