Fundraising & Campaign Specialist

Location: Colombo

Job Profile

  • Lead and manage all fundraising initiatives and campaigns both local & international
  • Develop and lead the fundraising and campaign strategy for WVL
  • Contribute to the strategic-development plan to increase and diversify funding and resources

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership in the development of the Annual Business Plan (ABP) of the National Resource Development (NRD) unit
  • Spearhead and execute the ABP for NRD by formulating and cascading quarterly targets
  • Drive innovation in fundraising avenues and establish controls for monitoring progress
  • Oversee market analysis on fundraising methodologies/strategies
  • Develop and manage online donation portals to attract donor support
  • Establish partnerships with media institutions for broadcast support
  • Hire and manage staff for local fundraising activities

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • 6 years of fundraising experience
  • Master's or Degree in relevant field
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to launch and scale up fundraising activities
  • Travel up to 20% of the time
  • Proficiency in English and/or Sinhala and Tamil languages
