Job Description
We are a leading Tea Export Company in Sri Lanka in business for over 34 years and market our own Branded Teas in over 50 countries, spanning all continents. We also offer a total tea solution to International Clients by packing private label brands and supplying tea in bulk. We are an ISO 22000, HACCP and GMP certified Company. We are seeking experienced and dynamic Candidates with a good track record below 30 years of age, who is ready to take on the challenge and join our team.
Position: EXECUTIVE - FINANCE
Basic Qualification
- Part or Fully Qualified in a recognized accounting body such as CA Sri Lanka, CMA, CIMA or ACCA
- Possessing a Degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage
Work Experience
- 2 years experience in a reputed Audit Firm and/or 2 years working experience in a Mercantile Establishment, preferably hands-on experience in Finance Functions in a Company
Knowledge
- IT Literate, well conversant in MS office applications (Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Hands-on Experience in an ERP system is an added advantage
- Experience in VAT/SVAT & taxation will be an added advantage
Skills
- Excellent command of English both written and spoken.
- Keen learner, ability to pick up the assigned work with minimum effort.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a "positive attitude"
- Fast and accurate data entry skills
Responsibility
- Matching and entering the material purchases of the entity to the system
- Correspond to supplier payment enquiries & coordinating documentation with procurement & factory.
- Import costing & supplier advance settlements on system.
- Preparation of Bank reconciliations
- Preparation of month-end journals and Tax schedules for VAT & SVAT
