Head of Project Operations Management

We are on the lookout for:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Project Operations Management to join our company. As the HPOM, you will play a vital role in coordinating and overseeing multiple solar projects across the country. You will be responsible for developing project plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Project Planning:
- Receive and review design inputs and business decisions on the project timeline
- Develop plans aligned with project design to optimize resources and achieve maximum solar energy output with minimal defaults and deviations.
- Ensure project plans meet design, budget, requirements, standards, and stakeholder expectations.
- Leadership in Project Operations Management:
- Review Project Execution Plans with Project Managers and Ops team.
- Lead the Project team through Project Managers, fostering a productive work culture.
- Ensure minimal deviations from original project costs and timelines, with justifiable and approved deviations. Provide necessary management information to the Leadership Team.
- Support cross-functional collaboration.
- Deviation Management:
- Identify gaps in current practices and conducts root cause analysis and formulate action plans.
- Execute action plans, continuously monitor outcomes, and update the Leadership Team.
- Document processes for future reference.
- Facilitate O&M activities through Project Managers.
- Managing Project Inquiries and Complaints:
- Manage inquiries and complaints, ensuring resolutions within given timeline.
- Implement sustainable action plans for complaint resolution, keeping HOD informed.
- Post-Project Operations & Maintenance (O&M):
- Review information from site visits every six months and present reports.
- Ensure no equipment breakdowns and conduct quality and quantity audits every six months. Implement action plans for any defects and ensure concerns raised through O&M reports are addressed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is a must.
- Master's degree or chartered engineering qualification will be an added advantage
- Minimum 10 years track record in project management, with minimum 5 years in the solar industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of renewable energy industry regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
