Import Documentation Executive

Location: Colombo 01

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate and verify import-related documents, including Bill of Lading (B/L), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, and other required shipping documents.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, government policies, and documentation standards for medical equipment imports.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, shipping lines, and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth cargo clearance.
  • Monitor and track shipments, provide regular status updates to the internal team, and address any delays or issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import documentation for audits and regulatory purposes.
  • Handle discrepancies in documents, resolve customs-related issues.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Full or part qualification in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management from a recognized institute.
  • Experience in Asycuda/Cusdec Wizard/ Import licence/ imports customs procedure and documentation is a must.
  • Computer literacy with an excellent command of the MS Office.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of post-qualifying experience in a similar capacity.
  • English language proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
  • Salary will be negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Male candidate above 25 years with a valid driving license.
