We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Executive - Accounts Payable (AP) / Receivable (AR) to support our finance operations remotely for our Head Office in Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end AP or AR processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting, while maintaining strong communication with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and verify invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before processing. Ensure that all invoices are matched with purchase orders and GRN/SRN.
- Ensure all payments are made in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all invoices and payments.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve any payment or invoicing issues, ensuring that all parties are satisfied, and the company maintains positive relationships.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with suppliers, ensuring that all records are up to date.
- Assist with the month-end close process by ensuring that all accounts payable/receivable transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Reconciliation of AP/AR control, AP/AR clearing, Advances & Intercompany balance.
- Prepare reports for management, including accounts payable aging, cash flow forecasts, and payment schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company policies (SoP / DoA), internal controls, and relevant regulations related to accounts payable functions.
- Provide support for internal and external audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation and records are available for review.
- Identify opportunities to improve the AP/AR process and recommend changes that can enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Professional accountancy qualification or equivalent - AAT qualified or ICASL/CIMA/ACCA/CMA part qualified.
- 2 - 3 years’ commercial experience in industries such as manufacturing, maintenance, or construction.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a mid-tier audit firm is required.
- Preferably experienced in working with BPOs.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle /SAGE/EPICOR is highly desirable.
- Experience handling multi-currency transactions and working with international customers.
- Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
- Must be willing to work on Oman shift (09.30 a.m. - 06.30 p.m. | Sunday - Thursday).
- Age below 30 years preferred.
