EXECUTIVE – OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY

Keells Food Products PLC, a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH), is the country's market leader in processed meat products and has held this position for over three decades. Our company possesses ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System, and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System Certifications. The Company manufactures a range of sausages, meatballs, hams, crumbed products, and soya range products under the “Elephant House” and “Keells Krest” brands.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor health & safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards in the workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international occupational health & safety standards.
  • Organize safety training programs & maintain safety records.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with relevant authorities for audits and certifications.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification from NIOSH will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial settings is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Remuneration for the above position will be in accordance with the JKH Compensation and Benefits Policy.
