ASSISTANT MANAGER – PLANTATION (GALLE)
JOB PROFILE
The ideal candidate should be able to supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the divisions of the estate allocated and should be able to take charge of Palm Oil, Cinnamon, and other mixed crop plantations whilst ensuring management of all agricultural aspects as per the SOPs including nurseries, harvesting upkeep etc. Further, he will be responsible for the maintenance of the road network including bridges & culverts, and building strong relationships with the surrounding villages while performing within the given budget.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- 1 to 5 years of working experience in Tea / Palm Oil / Rubber or Cinnamon plantations
- Passed G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination with a Distinction for English Language
- Having Certificate / Diploma in Plantations Management or Agriculture or equivalent qualification would be an added advantage
- Well on extra-curricular activities
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Experience in budgeting and financial procedures for cost controls in plantation management would be preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to promote a positive and collective work environment
