McLarens Group is now seeking an aspiring, energetic, and competent individual to join its subsidiary company, Spectra Logistics (Pvt) Limited. Spectra is one of Sri Lanka’s leading providers of end-to-end logistics services encompassing contract logistics, container depot, integrated transportation, and customs brokerage. We meet our customers’ logistics and supply chain needs through a combination of our operational and service excellence and our extensive resources, which include the Spectra Distribution Center at the Spectra Logistics Park in Wattala and a well-equipped container yard with our own vehicle fleet.

Senior Executive – Business Development

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new sales leads while nurturing existing client relationships.
  • Build strong customer rapport through excellent service and regular meetings.
  • Prepare quotations and tailored solutions in collaboration with the HOD.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and actively follow up on potential prospects.
  • Deliver exceptional service by meeting client needs.
  • Support retention and growth through BTL marketing efforts.
  • Schedule and attend client meetings in line with set performance targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and business prospects.
  • Attend industry events and share market insights.
  • Work with HOD to develop new offerings and strategies.
  • Submit accurate weekly reports and keep records updated.
  • Support the sales cycle by tracking account activity and helping close deals.
  • Coordinate with the credit control team to ensure timely payment collection.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Degree or Diploma in Logistics, or professional qualifications such as SLIM/CIM.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Logistics.
  • Overall, 4 years of work experience in a relevant field.
