Senior Executive - Facility / Administration
Royal Institute comprises of an International School having 5 branches (Under the banner of "Royal Institute International School"), a higher education arm (Royal Institute of Colombo), a Cambridge Online School (Royal Institute Smart Academy), a skill development unit (Royal Institute Center of Skills) and a Sports Complex. Being a pioneer in the education sector, Royal Institute has maintained a tradition of providing quality education to students for over 50 years.
We are looking for a dynamic Senior Executive for our newly opened state-of-the-art building in Nugegoda to look after the facility and its administration. This role will assist the day-to-day operations by ensuring that ongoing maintenance is carried out promptly and to the required standards. The primary objective of the Senior Executive Facility/Administration is to ensure that facilities are presented to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, risk assessments of facilities, premises and equipment and direct maintenance team to resolve maintenance issues.
- Serving as the initial point of contact and follow up for any breakdowns.
- Maintain daily maintenance logs for each section and report on daily activities.
- Liase with relevant parties if required to get necessary services, approvals etc.
- Oversee the work of the electrician, plumber, janitorial staff and the security personnel. Oversee technical and other requirements of the security points.
- Overlook the Safety & Security function including Car Park operations and management of keys.
- Maintain inventories of construction materials and take charge of their safety.
- Archive technical layout documentation and supply where necessary.
- Maintain and monitor equipment inventory and assure continuous supplies where necessary.
- Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
- Initiate and monitor other maintenance operations such as generator and lifts.
- Any other such duties that may arise commensurate with the position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in facility management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in facility management and administrative roles.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using computer software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, project management software).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
