Position Overview:
The Chef De Cuisine works closely with the Executive Chef to set and maintain culinary standards in designated outlets. This role focuses on optimizing resources, managing kitchen operations, and controlling costs while maximizing guest satisfaction. Key functions include menu development, quality control, team training, and ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene and safety throughout the kitchen.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set and maintain culinary standards for designated outlets according to Vakkaru Maldives luxury positioning.
- Plan and create innovative menus that showcase exceptional culinary expertise and creativity.
- Supervise kitchen team members, providing training, guidance, and motivation.
- Ensure proper food storage, handling, and preparation according to health and safety regulations.
- Control costs by implementing effective inventory management and minimizing waste.
- Inspect food quality, presentation, and portion control throughout preparation and service.
- Conduct daily briefings and maintain effective communication with kitchen team members.
- Develop unique promotional culinary activities to enhance guest experiences and maximize revenue.
- Track popular menu items and provide feedback to management for continuous improvement.
- Maintain proper documentation and checklists for quality control purposes.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Culinary diploma from a recognized institution or higher.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position. Experience in Maldives will be an added advantage.
- Fluent spoken and written proficiency in the Italian language.
- Able to create menu, managing and training the kitchen team members to deliver an excellent Guest experience while managing food cost controls.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop kitchen team members.
- Creative culinary skills with knowledge of international cuisine and current food trends.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
