Digital 3D Sample Creator and Pattern Maker
Position Objective
To develop accurate digital 3D garment samples and precise patterns using specialized software, ensuring design intent, fit, and construction are met while streamlining the sample development process and reducing lead times in the product development cycle.
Position Requirements
- Must have a Pattern Making qualification from a recognized Textile Institution and diploma in Fashion or Garment Construction
- 4-5 years’ work experience with Gerber Accumark system including pattern making and grading
- Proven experience in using 3D Digital Sample Creation Software (Optitex / Browzwear / Clo-3D / Tucktech etc)
- Knowledge of using Adobe Illustrator (or similar) software for graphics
- Advanced knowledge on garment construction, knits and woven fabrics (Women’s product knowledge would be an advantage)
- Knowledge of fabric structure, fabric performance and drape
- Understanding of garment ascetics, garment styling and drape, how to “tweak and fix” the pattern to achieve a great 3D garment simulation
- Ability to use software to convert physical fabrics into a digital fabric file
- Detail oriented and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment, supporting the technical team in all related issues
- A Great command of English in Speech & Writing
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality digital 3D garment samples and accurate patterns using software such as Gerber Accumark and Clo-3D/Optitex/Browzwear.
- Digitally simulate garment fit, drape, and construction to meet design intent and technical requirements.
- Convert physical fabric data into digital formats for realistic 3D rendering.
- Collaborate with design and technical teams to refine patterns and visuals.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of garment construction, fabric behavior, and aesthetics to achieve production-ready simulations.
- Use Adobe Illustrator (or similar) for technical graphics and detail rendering.
- Adapt to fast-paced changes, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support cross-functional teams through effective communication and technical expertise.
