BANQUET SERVICE MANAGER

The Banquet Service Manager oversees banquet events, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing the service team, organizing event setups, handling client requests, and ensuring smooth event execution. The manager collaborates with kitchen, sales, and event planning teams to provide a memorable guest experience.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination & Planning: Collaborate with clients, planners, and sales teams to plan, set up, and execute events, ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Team Leadership & Management: Supervise, train, and motivate banquet staff, manage scheduling, and monitor performance to maintain service quality.
  • Customer Service & Client Relations: Act as the main contact for clients, resolve complaints, and anticipate guest needs to ensure satisfaction.
  • Event Setup & Execution: Oversee banquet room setups, service sequencing, and coordinate with the kitchen to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Budget & Inventory Management: Assist in managing costs, monitor inventory, and ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines for each event.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards, following legal and company procedures for food and alcohol service.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma required; degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in banquet service or hospitality management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills; proficiency in MS Office and banquet software; flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
