ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Warehouse Operation to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our warehouse in Wellampitiya with a focus on inventory management, distribution, process improvement, and team supervision.
ASSISTANT MANAGER - WAREHOUSE OPERATION
REQUIREMENTS:
- An energetic individual between 30 to 50 years
- A degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse management or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP) and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in warehouse operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory management.
- Assist in planning and implementing warehouse strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Supervise and coordinate the warehouse team, ensuring compliance with food safety and operational standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock records through regular audits.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Support the Manager in training, scheduling, and evaluating workers’ performance.
