General Manager M & E
Prerequisites
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Project Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Masters degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Project Engineering or related discipline would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 15 years working experience in the similar field in a reputed Engineering organization out of which 5 year in the same capacity.
- Previous work experience in undertaking medium to large scale M&E turnkey projects is a must.
- Overseas exposure in undertaking M&E turnkey projects would be a distinct advantage.
- Corporate membership of IESL or similar would be an added advantage.
- Excellent command of English language and ability to speak multiple languages.
- Good literacy in computer with working knowledge of MS Office.
- Age below 50 years.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide M&E technical write ups for Tender submitting.
- Review quotations and discounts for approval by management for Tender submission.
- Prepare M&E work schedules, forecasting engineering activities and procurement of materials required for the project to ensure timely completion.
- Oversee project team and evaluate their performance and ensure projects are completed accordingly to the project schedule.
- Oversee the overall planning of M&E works, site inspection, variation orders and certification of work done for all assigned projects.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets to contract cost and ensure timely submission of monthly progress claims.
- Monitor the work progress of In-house as well as Outsourced personnel and ensure M&E work are in compliance to the Company’s and Client’s requirement.
- Plan and oversee Testing of M&E systems and provide advice on project related matters to ensure there is no discrepancies and structural elements.
- Supervise and direct overall project activities from planning to the handing over stage, ensuring all company/project policies, procedures and standards are maintained.
- Manage a portfolio of Mechanical and Electrical (as assigned) contractors through the life-cycle of a project.
