Marketing Manager – International Sales

Established in 1980, Consolidated Business Systems Limited (CBS) is a leading export-oriented company focusing on the food industry. Catering to diverse global markets in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific, CBS operates a multifaceted business model offering a range of agriculture-based products which include, coconut-based products (Coconut milk, Virgin coconut oil, Coconut water etc), premium Ceylon tea, processed fruits and vegetables, and dry food products. Role:

The prospective candidate will, primarily, lead and execute focused sales and marketing initiatives within the overall business strategy of the company, to maintain and grow the company's international sales. Whilst ensuring sustainable initiatives to maintain existing customers, He/She should develop and implement export initiatives that will identify opportunities for new markets, new product development and associated businesses, whilst ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and build on existing customer relationships through enhanced customer services
  • Coordinate and manage export promotional campaigns tailored to different customer-market regions
  • Analyze market trends and sales performance to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies for international markets (current and new).
  • Conduct market research (desk) to identify new export opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product strategies align with market needs.
  • Prepare and manage the marketing and sales budget for export initiatives
  • Attend trade fairs and exhibitions
  • Oversee compliance with international trade regulations.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with sound credentials and a proven track record of delivering results, aligned to the company's overall strategy.

  • Possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience in international sales, preferably in the food sector
  • A recognized professional qualification in Marketing (CIM or SLIM)
  • A Master's degree from a national university (preferably specialized in Marketing)
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge in international trade regulations
