VACANCY
Mechanical Engineer
Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC), a premier ship repair and shipbuilding company in Southeast Asia, seeks talented mechanical engineers to join our innovative team. Initial positions available on a contract basis.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university
- Registration or qualifying membership with the Engineering Council Sri Lanka (ECSL)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years in mechanical engineering, marine engineering, or the power industry.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in overhauling, repairing, and troubleshooting mechanical machinery, including marine engines and generators, pumps, propulsion systems, and valves.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of industrial safety regulations and ISO standards.
- Team Collaboration: Strong team player with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, effective communication abilities, and a proven track record of working well in deadline-driven operational environments.
- Project Management: Experience or qualifications in project management (internships considered).
