Senior Engineer, Engineering Design (Energy)

Principal Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the preparation of optimized electrical designs for power interface units, battery banks, power plants, air conditioning systems, and grounding and surge protection systems
- Prepare Optimized design and drive techno-commercial discussion.
- Techno-commercial analysis of power systems.
- Initiation and implementation of green power solution.
- Driving technical evaluation and drive RFPs.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs/KPIs committed to customers and internal goals and objectives.
- Incorporate safety and security of the telecommunications network site infrastructural support and related passive and power equipment.
- Support the group’s network business plan, expansion program, corporate program and special projects.
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Operations, Telecommunications.
- Master’s degree in engineering in Power Systems, Electrical or equivalent is an advantage.
- Accredited courses in Power Systems engineering, Battery Management, Energy Management, Quality Management, Environment, and Occupational Health & Safety Management.
- 1 year experience in electrical and power systems designs and product development in Telecommunication industry.
- Experience in a multinational company in the telecommunications industry and/or civil-mechanical-electrical construction or utility industries would be preferred.
- Hands on experience at site with electrical designs and thorough knowledge in national standards for electrical works.
- Hands on experience with design and quality parameters of electrical and power system infrastructure.
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
