Design & Estimation Engineer
Mechanical, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (MVAC)
JOB PROFILE
- Design MVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects
- Perform load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and select appropriate equipment
- Prepare HVAC layouts and drawings using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar tools
- Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, CIBSE, and local regulations
- Analyze BOQs and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates
- Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) and evaluate vendor quotations
- Collaborate with architects, clients, and project teams for system integration
- Provide technical support during installation and review shop drawings
- Conduct site visits to verify design implementation and resolve discrepancies
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5–10 years of experience in MVAC design and estimation
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, and MS Excel
- Strong understanding of international HVAC standards and building codes
- Experience with BOQ, tendering, and cost estimation
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of chilled water, VRF/VRV, ducted & split AC systems
- Familiarity with BIM and energy-efficient design principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
