Assistant Engineer
Job Responsibilities of an IT Technician:
- Installation, upgrade support and troubleshoot Windows based laptops and desktops.
- Install user device, hardware / peripherals and mobile devices, assisting with configuration, verifying network connectivity, ability to print, access to email etc.
- Assist users with back-up and transferring of data.
- Attendance and technical support at webcast events and other meetings that require audio visual or other technical support.
- Smart hands for router installation, trouble shooting and configuration.
- Providing support for cheque scanners and ATM networks.
Required:
- Degree / Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology / Networking or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in working with Router and Switching configurations.
- Sound knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows platform.
- Willing to work late hours when required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent trouble shooting and customer service skills.
- Willing to learn and support cheque image scanners and ATM's. Experience of handling these product areas will be an added advantage.
- Willing to travel to different parts of the country on a regular basis.
