MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Responsibilities
- Maintaining and improving a building's infrastructure and ensuring its safe and efficient operation by planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
- Develop preventive maintenance strategies, create asset management plans and implement condition-based monitoring systems to ensure the longevity of equipment.
- Ensuring smooth functioning of backup power, water and fire protection systems.
- Identify alternative suppliers locally and internationally for sourcing chiller and air conditioning equipment, parts, maintenance equipment and logistics with suppliers.
- Gathering and analyzing data, blueprints and reports.
- Analyzing project costs and preparing budgets.
- Designing and overseeing the implementation of facility expansion, layout, various systems, and quality controls.
- Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
- Coordinating and overseeing in-house team & contractors performing maintenance activities.
- Planning critical spare parts and logistics with suppliers.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
- Preparing reports and compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience as a facility/maintenance engineer or in a similar role.
- Thorough hands-on experience in chillers (HVAC) would be a definite advantage.
- Knowledge and experience in BMS controls.
- Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Project management skills.
