Manager – Air Freight
We are looking for a dynamic, proactive and motivated person to join and lead our Air Freight Operations. If you have the right spirit this may be the job you were looking for!
Key responsibilities
- Execute the Air Freight Product strategy and escalate when necessary
- Own and manage the Air Freight product P&L by managing vendor cost, ensuring profitability in the day-to-day operations and achieve EBIT
- Actively manage the Air Freight Product P&L
- Support Sales in executing the Sales strategy to fulfil given growth targets
- Effectively manage and be overall accountable for the performance of the Air Freight operations teams
- Drive change management within the Department
- Execute the global Air Freight standards and guidelines at Country level
- Evaluate, monitor performance against annually agreed Product KPI’s and initiate corrective actions, escalate to the Head of Operations when appropriate
- Ensure the appropriate staffing in the Air Freight team(s) to drive future oriented workforce planning, in line with productivity targets

Pre-requisites
- Minimum 8 years of experience out of which at least 5 years of Operational Air Freight experience either on the Forwarder or Airline side
- Minimum 3 years of experience in people management and leadership, including recruitment, training & development, coaching, conflict and performance management
- A Degree or a Professional qualification
