ESTIMATION ENGINEER - WATER SUPPLY

To support our expanding portfolio of water-related projects, we are seeking a highly skilled Estimation Engineer - Water Supply to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of tender documents, including technical and commercial proposals for water infrastructure projects.
- Conduct cost estimations, risk analysis, and pricing to ensure competitive bids.
- Ensure compliance with tender requirements, specifications, and contract standards (CIDA, ICTAD, etc.).
- Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors for accurate technical and cost inputs.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, conduct initial site visits, and engage in client clarifications and negotiation discussions.
- Analyze contract documents to align scope, budgets, and risk management strategies.
- Assist in contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Support procurement activities by identifying cost-effective sourcing options.
- Ensure proper integration of mechanical and electrical components in water projects.
- Contribute to design evaluations, value engineering, and project optimization.
- Manage post-tender activities, including variations, claims, and financial adjustments.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals and permits.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure adherence to technical and commercial expectations.
- Uphold legal, environmental, and safety standards across all tendering activities.
Key Qualifications
- Age: Below 45 years.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. A professional qualification in contract management or quantity surveying is an advantage.
- Experience: 5 years or above of experience in tendering and cost estimation for water-related projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in water infrastructure, contract administration (CIDA, ICTAD), and procurement strategies.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Software Proficiency: Experience in cost estimation and tendering software tools.
