We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team..
Our reputable company in Kaduwela is seeking a talented, qualified individual to join our dynamic team. As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Ensure day-to-day accounting operations are done with a timely manner, with financial reporting
- Present routine and ad-hoc budgets and forecasting for the management.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency
- Preparation and presentation of periodic performance and management reports
- Preparation of financial statements for annual audit
- Manage financial risks, analysis, and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and implement best practices
- Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and / or ACCA / CPA or similar.
- Experience in working for a company with extremely volatile trading activities.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in finance with at least 5 years performing as a senior accountant.
- Proficiency in accounting software. Tally ERP systems with excellent knowledge in Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
