As a diversified group with market leadership across key sectors, the ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in demand forecasting and inventory management, with the ability to analyze market trends, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive demand plans that align with the Group's strategic objectives and operational excellence.
ASSISTANT MANAGER - DEMAND PLANNING
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate short-term and long-term group-level demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales inputs.
- Lead the monthly business unit (BU)-wise demand planning cycle, collaborating with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze BU-level forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and supply-demand alignment to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with plant production, procurement & finance teams to ensure timely availability of materials and finished goods.
- Utilize advanced planning tools and ERP systems to optimize demand planning processes.
- Identify demand-related risks and opportunities, providing actionable insights to support business decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 4 - 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting and supplier planning, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across sales, marketing, and operations teams.
- Proficiency in demand planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle, or similar tools).
