1. Assistant Manager / Executive - Engineering
Location - Kandy
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee effective implementation of machine/facility maintenance
- Manage and guide the mechanical team to meet production floor requirements
- Should possess keen knowledge in all types of sewing machines & their stitch types, types of machines/utilities & their maintenance, scheduling and monitoring maintenance programmes in a timely manner, whilst maintaining proper records
- Drive sustainability projects across the group
- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
Person Specifications
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma or equivalent professional qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from an accredited university/professional institution
- 2–5 years of relevant work experience in an apparel manufacturing environment
- Ability to handle ambiguity and stressful situations with control and flexibility
- Strategic thinking, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude
- Willingness to perform additional duties as needed
- Knowledge in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 5S (advantageous)
2. Manager - Production
Location - Kandy
Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall production operations cost-effectively
- Monitor and ensure performance parameters such as output, efficiency, quality, on-time delivery, and material consumption
- Conduct daily production meetings to identify and resolve production issues and guide the team on all production-related aspects and coordinate to meet daily targets
- Demonstrate a proven track record in managing a diverse workforce and maintaining a safe, team-oriented environment
- Proactively handle additional duties as required, in line with the role’s responsibilities
Person Specifications
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma or equivalent professional qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mathematics, Physical Science, Textile or Clothing Technology from an accredited university/professional institution
- 7–10 years of relevant work experience in an apparel manufacturing environment
- Be proactive, assertive, and adaptable in stressful or ambiguous situations
- Possess strong change-driving ability and excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Be a team player with strong leadership, analytical, technical, presentation, mentoring, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
