Human Resources Coordinator

Crown & Champa Resorts is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our dedicated HR team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a solid background in both human resources and finance, support HR operations, employee relations, welfare coordination, and payroll processes. This role requires someone who is proactive, people-focused, and capable of balancing administrative duties.

Task and responsibilities

  • Assist in day-to-day HR operations, ensuring smooth implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Organize staff welfare activities, team-building events, and celebrations to promote staff morale and engagement.
  • Ensure smooth coordination of arrivals/departures of team members, including travel, transfers, and accommodation arrangements.
  • Support internal audits and prepare HR-related reports as required by management.
  • Prepare and process payroll in coordination with the finance team.
  • Coordinate work permit and documentation processes for expatriate employees in compliance with Maldivian regulations.

Qualifications & experience

  • Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR or welfare-focused role, ideally in a hospitality, resort or Hotel environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva and experience with HR software or management systems.
  • Experience in payroll processing and coordination with finance departments is essential.
  • Culturally sensitive and team-oriented, with a positive and approachable attitude.
  • Familiarity with Maldivian labor laws, expatriate documentation processes, and work permit regulations is an added advantage.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
