SPECIFIED OFFICER - LIFE INSURANCE
We are looking for a compliance – driven and experienced professional to join our team as the Specified Officer – Life insurance. This critical role is designed for a qualified individual with a strong grounding in life insurance operations and regulatory compliance, ready to ensure governance excellence and support operational efficiency in a progressive insurance environment.
Key Job Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day insurance operation of the company.
- Act as the IRCSL - designated Specified Officer for Life Insurance operations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable IRCSL regulations and statutory requirements related to the Life Insurance segment.
- Assist the Principal Officer in managing operational, financial and reporting functions aligned with regulatory and internal governance frameworks.
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of internal controls, compliance frameworks and company policies relevant to Life Insurance.
- Liaise effectively with auditors, regulatory bodies, reinsurers and internal departments to ensure smooth coordination and compliance.
- Ensuring that all life insurance schemes, products, and operational practices adhere to both national insurance regulations and the industry’s best practices.
Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Business, Finance or a related field from a recognized university.
- Possession of a full professional Insurance qualification (ACII/FCII or equivalent) – mandatory as per IRCSL guidelines.
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualifying experience in life insurance.
- Strong knowledge of IRCSL Life Insurance, compliance practices and reporting obligations.
- Excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills.
