PRINCIPAL OFFICER - LIFE INSURANCE
We are looking for a compliance-driven and experienced professional to join our team as the Principal Officer - Life insurance. This critical role is designed for a qualified individual with a strong grounding in life insurance operations and regulatory compliance, ready to ensure governance excellence and support operational efficiency in a progressive insurance environment.
Key Job Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the organization in achieving sustainable growth and enhanced business performance within the insurance sector.
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue, profitability and overall success.
- Provide strategic direction, reporting directly to the board and ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Oversee the development of new business opportunities and strategic initiatives to expand the company’s market presence.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and high performance within the leadership team and the organization.
- Represent the company in high-level interactions with stakeholders, regulators and other key industry participants.
- Lead team development and support capacity building across life insurance operation.
Profile:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Life Insurance Industry, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
- Fully qualified professional (ACII/FCII or equivalent) – mandatory as per IRCSL guidelines.
- Postgraduate qualification or degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IRCSL regulatory framework and insurance governance standards.
- Proven track record in managing teams, strategy execution, and stakeholder engagement.
- A dynamic and visionary leader, with strong decision-making abilities and entrepreneurial flair.
Location: Colombo (Head Office)
