PRODUCT SUPPORT ENGINEER
IPD is a publicly listed Australian company providing electrical engineering products and solutions to the Australian market for over 70 years. IPD Colombo team is the offshore unit of IPD Australia and currently consists of over 200 professionals collaborating with over 450 team members across Australia in a dynamic and innovative environment to achieve high quality results.
We are currently looking for a smart and innovative Product Support Engineer to support our broad product portfolio within our well-established business. Applicants must have competent technical background preferably with experience in Control & Automation, and Power solutions in addition to the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies. The successful applicant will be able to leverage off a strong, leading edge product portfolio to increase growth and capitalize on opportunities to maximize sales revenue within the portfolio. He / she will have an excellent work ethic, written and verbal communications skills and will be able to assimilate quickly into our dynamic, sales focused and results-driven Products & Marketing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing the Company sales team with the necessary knowledge, technical expertise, resources, sales tools, and training material to enable them to maximize their success in securing opportunities for IPD range of Low Voltage power solutions and Industrial controls & automation.
- Provide support to the Australian based Product Managers and assist in developing sales reports and forecasts across IPD’s product portfolio.
- Ensure that the data integrity of all products is up to date and validated across all the business systems within Company.
- Preparation of technical, sales & marketing tools and provide regular reports for suppliers on performance.
- Providing support to the Product Management team with coordinating product RMAs and gathering NCR data.
- Populate the Product Information Management (PIM) data for product datasheets and the company website.
- Prepare and aided with layout design for technical marketing material according to product manager’s requirements.
- Categorize and create products groups for the website that include related products, accessories and installation materials to better assist customers and sales teams.
- Optimize the ERP platform with important product descriptions to provide up-to-date product information.
- Provide product support such as pricing and supplier support to assist with customer inquiries raised via the CRM portal.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering.
- Proven experience and success with data analytics, dealing with motors & motor controls, Low Voltage electrical distribution and industrial controls & automation products would be an added advantage.
- Outstanding written & verbal communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.
- Fluent in English to communicate with Australian counterparts.
- Experience with software tools such as Pronto, Microsoft tools such as MS office (MS excel is a must), Sharepoint, PowerBI, Teams...etc will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work in Australian time zone as per Australian calendar.
- Display of keen interest to learn with a positive attitude is well sought after.
