British Cosmetics (Pvt) Ltd is a well-established cosmetics and skincare manufacturer and importer in Sri Lanka, seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to drive growth and expand market share.

Job Description:

The Sales & Distribution Manager will play a crucial role in the company's continued success by implementing strategic plans, developing new sales opportunities, and strengthening existing relationships. This is a hands-on role responsible for the entire business operation of Sales & Distribution.

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Implementation:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through market research, networking, and business development.
  • Strengthen and maintain relationships with existing clients.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Proactively manage and resolve customer issues.
  • Develop and manage sales forecasts.
Sales Team Management:
  • Effectively manage and motivate a sales team, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to the sales team.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and expectations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify and address any training needs within the sales team.
Sales Channel Development:
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand and optimize sales channels.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key retailers.
  • Explore new sales channels to maximize market reach.
Business Operations:
  • Oversee the entire sales and distribution process, ensuring smooth operations and efficient delivery.
  • Manage inventory levels.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of sales activities.
Sustainability:
  • Develop strategies for enhancing the company's sustainability practices within the sales and distribution operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in sales management within the cosmetics /FMCG or related industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in sales and distribution operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with developing and implementing strategic sales plans.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices in the beauty industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in relevant software.
