STORE ASSISTANT – KURUNEGALA WAREHOUSE

ROLE PROFILE
- Manage inventory by receiving, inspecting, storing products, and updating stock records using FEFO practices.
- Maintain organized, hygienic warehouse conditions ensuring proper labeling and storage of goods.
- Coordinate with factory and transport teams for accurate receiving and timely dispatch of finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and storage standards to prevent product spoilage.
- Monitor stock levels, perform cycle counts, and report variances or reorder needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all stock movements, including daily logs and audit support.
- Prepare inventory reports on slow/non-moving, damaged, quarantined, or expired items.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- G.C.E. A/L with a certificate in inventory or stores management; warehouse management training is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in storekeeper or inventory management, preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
- Familiar with food safety standards, warehouse best practices, and proficient in inventory systems (SAP/ERP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills & physical capability for handling stock.
