PHP TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER (COLOMBO-ONSITE)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and update merchant/partner technical solution articles and guides
- Report, track, and escalate recurring technical issues
- Collaborate with merchants to provide clear and appropriate feedback on issues
- Conduct tests on merchant websites or plugins to ensure proper functioning
- Coordinate and assist Integration Support Engineers across multiple locations and shifts
- Contribute to the product awareness journey and identify areas for improvement
- Manage assigned internal roles for the team as directed by the line manager
- Finish any side project given by the line manager related to enhancing the integration experience, product awareness, or merchant onboarding journey
- Engage in activities/processes initiated by the line manager to enhance the work environment for other teams
- Adhere to team values and routines and perform any tasks and duties as assigned by the line manager
COMPETENCIES:
- Experience in Software Development, preferably in PHP
- Strong understanding of web-based applications and technologies
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Magento, OpenCart, WooCommerce, etc.
- Proficient in using issue tracking tools like FreshDesk, Redmine, and version control systems like Git, SVN
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Prior experience working in distributed teams, that operate 24 x 7 x 365
- Strong passion for customer interaction and resolution
- Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision
- Results-driven with strong work ethic to meet daily targets
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- AS Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- 6+ years of technical support experience, preferably in a similar domain
