Child Development Fund (CDF) was established in 2009 under the company act. No – 7 of 2007 with the mission “to promote the total well-being of Deprived, Excluded and Vulnerable (DEV) children and youth through life cycle approach supported by theory of change by high quality programs with accountability and transparency in the selected DS divisions in Trincomalee that empowers children, parents and communities and create positive changes in the lives of children. CDF believes that creating changes in the lives of children will empower societies to a better level. Child Development Fund is looking for energetic and dynamic individual to provide operational leadership to equip and advocate for inclusive approaches in public services at Trincomalee T&G DS and District General Hospital.

This job is closely connected to work with officers in Trincomalee T&G DS and District General Hospital supporting the components ensuring to managing, organizing and facilitating program initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating overall process of project activities.
  • Planning project activities and contributing as needed in top to bottom level interventions.
  • Initiating capacity building efforts change agents in the communities.
  • Providing subject matter expertise for integration of training, facilitation and supplementary requirements.
  • Ensuring stake holder communication activities are designed in such way so as to contribute to project initiatives.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development Studies, Community Development or another relevant field.
  • At least three years of experience working with development sector.
  • Experience in working with government officers, training activities, program planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including catalyzing, connecting and building the capacity of change agents and other stake holders.
  • Good analytical and report writing skills in English with basic understanding of monitoring and evaluation.
  • Strong computer skills including MS office such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to work in Tamil, Sinhala as well as English and willingness to be flexible with working hours when necessary and able to travel often in the field.
  • Having a valid driving license.
