Job Title: Team Lead – Outbound Sales (UK Market)

Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka

Job Type: Full-Time (4 days a week, Wednesdays off)

Working Hours: 1-8 PM (Sri Lanka Time)

About the Role

A rapidly expanding UK-based finance company is setting up an outbound call centre in Colombo and is looking for an experienced, self-driven Team Lead to manage the local outbound sales team.

You’ll be the go-to person for everything — from performance management to daily operations. You’ll oversee a team of outbound sales executives who are engaging UK business owners for business funding solutions. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, knows how to manage targets, and can ensure high-quality lead generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the outbound sales team responsible for cold-calling UK-based SMEs.
  • Monitor daily performance — including call volumes, lead quality, and CRM updates.
  • Conduct daily check-ins and provide a summary report to the UK management team.
  • Be the single point of contact (POC) between the Sri Lanka team and the UK office.
  • Ensure processes are being followed and KPIs are met consistently.
  • Train, coach, and support team members to improve performance and communication skills.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
  • Handle escalations, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions in real-time.
  • Make outbound calls if needed, especially during high-volume periods.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in team management or sales leadership roles (preferably in BPO, international sales, or outbound calling environments).
  • Strong understanding of outbound sales strategy, cold calling, and lead qualification.
  • Excellent English communication skills — both spoken and written.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems like HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar.
  • Strong reporting, documentation, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, lead by example, and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Comfortable working independently while managing a small but impactful team.
