Engineer - New Product Introduction

You will be responsible for

  • Initiate New Product Industrialization process & be involved with project planning.
  • Evaluate product feasibility/DDM aspects of the product which are crucial for production.
  • Determine and define the ideal manufacturing process flow as per product requirements while considering the health and safety aspects of the operator.
  • Define process routing, allocate resources & materials, and update operation cycle time in ERP System.
  • Create and maintain product-specific Visual Aid Files and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Evaluation & supervision of sample Production and be involved with the First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) process.
  • Implementation of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) by customer & suggest product design changes to the customer via initiating Engineering Change Request (ECR) process.
  • Communicate with customers during various phases of product implementation.
  • Examine PCB Gerber data to initiate the Stencil ordering process and communicate with the fabricators.
  • Design, simulate, fabricate & release tools, jigs, wave solder pallets, and down positives for initial production in collaboration with the in-house workshop to enhance quality of the products, fulfill customer requirements, and to optimize the production processes.
  • Evaluate required machine resources & order specific manufacturing tools such as crimp applicators, measuring tools & task specified machinery where necessary.
  • Envision the next level manufacturing & take leadership in process automation.

Your prime function will be

  • To plan, organize, and co-ordinate the New Product Introduction activities with the vision of satisfying the customer requirements while making sure they align with the organizations' best interests and to perform these tasks according to the given priorities within the shortest possible time and adhere the Company rules & Regulations.

Qualifications needed for the role

  • BSc. in the field of Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering from a recognized university/Institute.
  • Current technical skills in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge on ERP, Robotics, automation, programming languages, 3D modelling & simulation is an advantage.
  • Fluency in German Language is an advantage.
  • Knowledge/experience of bare PCB manufacturing is an advantage.
