PRODUCTION PLANNING & COSTING DRAUGHTSMAN

The leading trend setting and successful business house is expanding its business into diversified areas and we are looking for a Production Planning & Costing Draughtsman with strong Quantity Surveying (QS) knowledge to drive accurate material estimation, production costing, and job planning in our furniture factory.
Job Role
- Interpret design and shop drawings to prepare accurate cutting plans and material take-offs.
- Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for each production job based on technical inputs.
- Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs to prepare complete job costing sheets.
- Assist in creating production schedules aligned with job priorities and material availability.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of plans.
- Monitor material consumption vs. estimates and highlight cost variances.
- Support the procurement team with timely and accurate material requirements.
- Maintain organized cost records, planning trackers, and drawing documentation.
Job Requirements
- Solid knowledge of Quantity Surveying (QS) practices and principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for reading and interpreting drawings (hands-on drafting is secondary).
- Strong Excel skills for costing, BOQs, and planning sheets.
- Experience in a furniture manufacturing environment, especially with panel/modular systems.
- Understanding of production flow and material handling in a factory setting.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and planning capabilities.
