The Opportunity
You will work closely with our client, Accounting and Business Advisory firm - SEIVA, based in Australia to deliver tax and compliance services to clients.
You’ll be set up to work remotely in a bright office in Colombo with our existing team where you will be supported in the office as well as through continual on - online communication. You’ll be part of our amazing team in Sri Lanka as well as Australia, and have an opportunity to learn and complete the following accounting tasks:
- Various reconciliation of business accounts for numerous entities
- Preparation of financial statements
- Preparation of income tax returns
- Preparation of business activity statements (BAS)
- Performing reconciliations in relation to the above
- Collation of working papers and supporting documents for client files
- Maintenance of client’s general ledgers
- Liaison with statutory bodies including ATO & ASIC
- General administrative tasks relating to client management.
What you will bring
- At least 2 years of accounting experience
- Experience with Australian, UK or NZ entities would be preferred.
- 2 or more years' experience using online cloud accounting, preferably Xero.
- Intermediate Excel skills
- A bright and friendly and reliable work ethic.
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
