Assistant Manager - Engineering
We are on the lookout for Assistant Manager Engineering to join at Happy Cook Lanka Food (PVT) Ltd. Happy Cook Lanka Food (Pvt) Ltd is looking for an energetic, hardworking result-oriented candidate to fill the below vacancy immediately at our Factory located in Galle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support production activities to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
- Assist in performing preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Identify root causes of mechanical or electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, machine breakdowns, and engineering reports.
- Prepare technical documents such as SOPs, maintenance logs, and drawings.
- Assist in engineering projects such as machine installations, upgrades, and layout modifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors when required for technical support or services.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor the usage of spare parts and maintenance materials, and ensure proper inventory control.
Candidate Profile:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics from a recognized university or institute.
- Diploma holders (e.g., NDT, HND, or equivalent) with strong practical experience may also be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience in production support, equipment maintenance, or process improvement will be a strong advantage.
Additional Competencies:
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards in a factory environment.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and coordinate with production and maintenance departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic engineering software/tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
