Inventory Controlling Executive – Spare Parts
UML Heavy Equipment Ltd., is a fully owned subsidiary of United Motors Lanka PLC, the distributor for JCB brand for both Sri Lanka and Maldives, which include Excavators, Compactors, Wheel Loaders, Telescopic Handlers, Skid Steer Loaders, Super Loaders and Generators. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Sales Manager to drive the growth of our generator sales business in the retail sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in generator sales, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to market coverage.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in Construction Equipment Spare Parts Operation in Sri Lanka
- Qualifications such as Supply Chain, Logistics, CIM/SLIM or equivalent in Marketing Management Qualification required
- Data analytics, and sound knowledge in MS Excel is required.
- Age below 40 years preferred
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Construction Equipment & its Applications.
- Strong work ethic with a positive, customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the ordering, stock management, and tracking of spare parts to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality spare parts are delivered on time
- Conduct regular audits of inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
- Collaborate with Service, Maintenance and Sales teams to forecast spare part requirements based on usage patterns and upcoming maintenance schedules.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, procurement orders, and stock movements for management review.
- Identify and implement process improvements in inventory management and procurement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Technical knowledge of Construction Equipment and Power Generator Spare parts are highly desirable.
