UML Heavy Equipment Ltd., is a fully owned subsidiary of United Motors Lanka PLC, the distributor for JCB brand for both Sri Lanka and Maldives, which include Excavators, Compactors, Wheel Loaders, Telescopic Handlers, Skid Steer Loaders, Super Loaders and Generators. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Sales Manager to drive the growth of our generator sales business in the retail sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in generator sales, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to market coverage.
Assistant Sales Manager (Regional) – Construction Equipment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in Construction Equipment sales in Sri Lanka.
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or similar Experience will be an advantage.
- Marketing qualifications such as CIM/SLIM or equivalent in Marketing Management Qualification required.
- Age below 35 years preferred.
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively for market coverage.
- In-depth knowledge of Construction Equipment & its Applications.
- Strong work ethic with a positive, customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales of Construction Equipment.
- Develop and Maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitors.
- Provide technical advice and product information to customers.
- Coordinate with the DGM on sales strategies, forecasts, and market insights.
- Travel extensively to ensure market coverage and client engagement.
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Technical knowledge of power generators is highly desirable.
