Overview of the role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our Group Procurement team. This role is critical in managing a wide range of sourcing and purchasing activities to ensure the smooth and cost-effective supply of goods and services across the organization.
Job Description
- Manage a portfolio of over 500 suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Execute RFP and RFQ processes based on business unit requirements for annual services.
- Issue 300+ purchase orders monthly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement standards.
- Source and coordinate the procurement of a variety of items including stationery, IT equipment, tools, uniforms, welfare items, and spare parts.
- Maintain accurate purchasing data and vendor records in the SAP system.
- Ensure timely vendor payments and compliance with agreed credit terms.
- Coordinate delivery and acceptance of goods across multiple locations.
- Conduct price reviews and vendor negotiations to drive cost savings.
- Support planning and budgeting by obtaining quotations for business units.
- Prepare procurement reports and documentation for management as required.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably in a corporate or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of SAP procurement processes and vendor management.
- Excellent coordination, negotiation, and communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement categories and vendors simultaneously.
