St. Joseph Hospital, Negombo, is a state-of-the-art healthcare facility managed by the Kids & Teens Pediatric Medical Group (USA) and Asia Corp. We are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with US healthcare standards. Our hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including emergency care, specialized treatments, advanced diagnostics, and telehealth consultations. Recently, we’ve expanded our facilities to include 51 inpatient beds, 45 medical professionals, and advanced diagnostic equipment.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Medical Services to lead our medical team and oversee the delivery of exceptional healthcare services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical leadership, strategic planning, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the medical staff, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration across departments.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of medical services, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous professional development and training among medical staff.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to align medical services with organizational goals and community needs.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with a valid Sri Lankan Medical Council registration.
- Postgraduate qualifications in a medical specialty or healthcare management are advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Sinhala or Tamil is a plus.
