Executive – Finance & Tax
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of all tax-related returns including VAT, NBT, ESC, PAYE, WHT, and Income Tax.
- Liaise with the Inland Revenue Department and other regulatory authorities on tax matters.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Assist in tax planning and provide guidance to management on tax implications.
- Monitor changes in tax regulations and ensure company practices remain compliant.
- Support external audits and tax assessments as required.
Requirements:
- Part qualification in CA Sri Lanka/CIMA/ACCA or a relevant degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience in handling tax matters, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Sound knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems (experience with ERP systems will be an added advantage).
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
